It all started with a bang, literally. Men came from nowhere, humans, hunters. They pulled the women, submissives, and children from our beds and made us watch from their air ships as they blew apart our world, our homes, our fathers, and our mates. Many died right there, unable to live on without their mates, my papa was one of them. That is when my brother and I became orphans.
The men were perplexed and interrogated us thoroughly, torturing the children along with the women without a thought. Even then, at only eight summers old I knew to stay quiet, we couldn't give them a weakness.

The sun shone as annoyingly bright as ever through Alex's black lace curtains making a muffled groan come from a pile of blankets on the bed.
Blonde hair shone almost golden in the early morning light in stark contrast to the black pillow it was resting on. Soon a body emerged from under the thick dark purple blankets and a small body emerged with one last groan and blue-eyed glare shot at the window.
Alex stood and stretched smiling in satisfaction as his back popped. Oh! Did I forget to mention he was a boy, oops sorry.

The first thing Tommy noticed was a repeating, very annoying beeping next to his ear. The next thing that broke through the fog was a dull ache first starting everywhere, then it receded, ever so slowly slinking back to his neck and chest. What happened?

Alec sighed staring down at his hands thinking, 'why couldn't have I been faster? How could I have let this happen?' a lone tear rolled down his face before he wiped it away roughly.

Chapter 1 a chance encounter
Jennifer Tomas sighed she couldn't wait for the day to finally end so she could just write. But sadly she had just gotten to school, great. She thought she had twenty minutes before first period started so she had time to go to the library and start the new chapter in her book.

If Alfred loved the light it was the dark that he hated. The pressing darkness terrified him to no end, and even worse, it let him think.
It let him remember the wars. Him fighting, fighting Arthur, Korea, Japan, Germany, hell even himself. He remembered the screams and cries of the wounded and the innocent. He remembered how he was split between his children, and the pain when they left him. What he remembered the most was Arthur's face as he walked away.
That look is what kept him from closing his eyes until the light pushed it away. It's what kept him staring into space or playing with Toni all night. What kept him from getting r

Alfred loved to wake before his lover, when it was possible. And as cheesy as it sounded he loved to watch the elder man sleep.
It took years, hundred of them, off his face. His furry eyebrows we're not constantly furrowed and most of his wrinkles were smoothed out. And then there was how he fell asleep in one of his old shirts, this time it was a grey 'it's only funny until someone gets hurt then it's hysterical' tee that he had outgrown but kept for the Englishman.
Not to mention the sunlight. No matter how much he, and Toni (sp?), hated it the reward was well worth it to Alfred. Now he had heard from a few people about t
